Terms of Service for "You and the Law" Paralegal Training Program
1. Acceptance of Terms
By enrolling in the “You and the Law” Paralegal Training Program, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this document. These terms govern your participation in the program and use of related materials and services.
2. Program Description
“You and the Law” is a comprehensive paralegal training program offering online and textbook-based learning, covering topics such as legal terminology, statutes and rules, case law analysis, and more. The program is available in both English and Spanish.
3. Enrollment and Access
- Eligibility: Open to individuals of all backgrounds, with or without a high school diploma or GED.
- Enrollment Process: Completion of an application form and payment of applicable fees.
- Course Access: Upon enrollment, students will have access to course materials as per the chosen track (Fast track: 3 months, Average time: 4 months).
4. Course Requirements
Students must complete all modules, exams, and projects as outlined in the curriculum. A minimum score of 70% is required for successful completion of the program.
5. Financial Terms
- Tuition: $6,885.00, subject to adjustments based on financial aid or grants.
- Refund Policy: Adheres to the Ohio Administrative Code section 3332-1-10, with specific terms for withdrawal and reimbursement.
6. Academic Standards
Students are expected to maintain a minimum completion rate of 67% of all assignments and adhere to the program’s academic progress standards.
7. Intellectual Property
All course materials, including texts, digital content, and resources, are the intellectual property of “You and the Law” and are provided for personal, non-commercial use only.
8. Privacy Policy
Student records are maintained with confidentiality and are available to students upon request, in compliance with applicable privacy laws.
9. Conduct and Ethics
Students are expected to adhere to high standards of academic integrity and professionalism throughout their enrollment in the program.
10. Limitation of Liability
The program is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from enrollment or participation.
11. Amendments
These terms may be updated periodically. Continued enrollment constitutes acceptance of any changes.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.
